Beauty, Brain & Brawn Athlete Advisory

The athlete is bigger than the game.

Beauty, Brain & Brawn provides strategic advisory for athletes and the organizations investing in their long-term development—across identity, brand, business, media, career exploration, and life beyond performance.

We build the infrastructure around the whole athlete.

01The Beauty, Brain & Brawn Approach

Three dimensions. One whole athlete.

Brawn is the arena. Beauty and Brain are the lenses through which we see the whole athlete.

Brawn

Performance. Competition. Athlete identity. Sports culture. Legacy.

Beauty

Image. Personal expression. Style. Wellness. Culture. Consumer influence.

Brain

Strategy. Business. Intellectual capital. Entrepreneurship. Career direction. What comes next.

The work begins where those three dimensions intersect.

02The Landscape

Your career is not just a career.

Modern athletes are navigating far more than competition.

  • Building audiences.
  • Signing partnerships.
  • Making money.
  • Becoming public figures.
  • Developing businesses.
  • Exploring fashion, beauty, media, technology, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship.
  • Preparing for careers that may last decades beyond their final season.

But those opportunities often arrive through disconnected people, deals, platforms, and decisions.

And increasingly, those decisions begin earlier. Emerging athletes are encountering visibility, recruiting, NIL conversations, social media, public identity, and commercial opportunity before they have been given the frameworks to understand what those opportunities mean.

Beauty, Brain & Brawn believes development should begin before the deal.

We help connect the pieces.

The goal is not to turn every athlete into a brand. The goal is to help every athlete understand the value of who they already are.

03Our Approach

The whole athlete.

We approach athlete development as an ecosystem.

Instead of beginning with, "What deal can we get?" we begin with better questions.

  • Who are you?
  • What do you care about?
  • What do you want your name to mean?
  • What are you building?

Then we build from there.

The questions change as an athlete develops. The framework does not.

01

Identity

Understanding the person before building the public brand.

02

Strategy

Creating a clear direction for career, business, visibility, and opportunity.

03

Opportunity

Identifying aligned partnerships, collaborations, platforms, and commercial pathways.

04

Infrastructure

Connecting the right legal, financial, creative, media, beauty, and operational support around the athlete.

05

Longevity

Building something valuable that can continue growing long after competition ends.

The goal is not simply more visibility. It is clarity about what that visibility is building toward.

04How the Work Happens

From possibility to direction.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand the athlete beyond performance—interests, ambitions, values, strengths, curiosities, and existing signals.

  2. 02

    Expose

Create access to industries, people, environments, and experiences that expand what the athlete can see for herself.

  3. 03

    Experiment

Test possible futures through real-world experiences rather than forcing premature brand positioning.

  4. 04

    Strategize

Identify the territories, opportunities, capabilities, and decisions that best support the athlete’s long-term direction.

  5. 05

    Build

Develop the relationships, infrastructure, positioning, and action plan required to move from interest to ownership.

Not every athlete arrives knowing what comes next. Sometimes the work is helping her experience enough possibilities to recognize it.

07The Athlete Journey

Strategy should evolve with the athlete.

The needs of a high school athlete are not the same as the needs of a college athlete, professional player, or retiring veteran. Beauty, Brain & Brawn applies the same whole-athlete philosophy differently at each stage.

  1. 01

    High School + Emerging Athletes

    Foundation before visibility.

    • Identity development
    • Personal values
    • Digital presence
    • Media literacy
    • Foundational personal-brand education
    • Career exploration
    • Understanding NIL and partnership concepts
    • Professional conduct
    • Confidence and communication
    • Exposure to industries beyond sport

At this stage, the emphasis is education and development, not commercialization. Individual work with minors requires appropriate parent or guardian participation.

  2. 02

    College + NIL Athletes

    Position before partnership.

    • Personal positioning
    • NIL readiness
    • Strategic visibility
    • Partnership evaluation
    • Media presence
    • Image and identity
    • Entrepreneurship
    • Career planning
    • Understanding how opportunities fit into a larger body of work
  3. 03

    Professional Athletes

    Build around the platform.

    • Long-term brand architecture
    • Commercial positioning
    • Partnership strategy
    • Venture development
    • Media
    • Fashion and beauty opportunities
    • Intellectual property
    • Ownership
    • Career diversification
  4. 04

    Beyond the Game

    Build what survives performance.

    • Transition planning
    • Identity beyond sport
    • Entrepreneurship
    • Leadership
    • Advisory and board pathways
    • Media
    • Education
    • Ownership
    • Professional reinvention
    • Long-term legacy
08Athlete Development Programming

Development does not have to begin one athlete at a time.

Beauty, Brain & Brawn develops workshops, intensives, and custom programming for schools, teams, academies, athletic departments, parent communities, and sports organizations.

Programs are designed to help athletes build the strategic literacy that often becomes necessary only after visibility, opportunity, or transition has already arrived.

Athlete Identity + Personal Brand

Beyond the Jersey

Helping athletes understand who they are beyond performance, what they want to represent, and how identity becomes the foundation for a sustainable personal brand.

Positioning + Partnership Readiness

NIL Before the Deal

Helping emerging athletes understand brand fit, reputation, opportunity evaluation, commercial readiness, and why clarity should come before sponsorship.

Media + Public Presence

Strategic Visibility for Athletes

Social media, interviews, public presence, storytelling, and understanding when visibility creates value rather than noise.

Skills + Career Architecture

The Whole Athlete Career Lab

Helping athletes translate discipline, leadership, communication, resilience, network, and competitive experience into future careers and opportunities.

Athlete Image + Presence

Exploring fashion, beauty, personal style, media readiness, professional image, and how public presentation supports a larger identity.

10The Advisory Ecosystem

One strategy. The right specialists.

No single person should be expected to manage every dimension of an athlete's career.

Our model brings strategy to the center, then surrounds the athlete with specialists based on what she actually needs.

Athlete

At the center

Strategy + Partnerships
Legal
Fashion + Styling
Beauty + Glam
PR + Communications
Creative + Content
Finance + Wealth
Business + Entrepreneurship
Career + Transition

Beauty, Brain & Brawn serves as the strategic connective tissue across these areas, helping the athlete understand how individual decisions contribute to the larger picture.

Beauty, Brain & Brawn is not the athlete’s agent, manager, publicist, attorney, financial advisor, or stylist. We see the whole board, define the strategy, and help the right specialists work toward the same long-term direction.

11Cultural Fluency

Because who is in the room matters.

Women athletes are increasingly being asked to navigate sports, fashion, beauty, culture, business, media, and influence simultaneously.

For Black women in particular, those intersections can include additional considerations around hair, beauty, identity, representation, cultural influence, image, visibility, and ownership.

Athletes deserve advisors and specialists who understand that those dimensions are not distractions from the business. They are part of the business.

Beauty, Brain & Brawn is building a culturally fluent advisory network designed to understand the athlete as a complete person, not simply an asset attached to a roster.

12Selected Experience

Experience across the worlds athletes are entering.

Cole Woods’ advisory work has long centered on helping multidimensional people navigate reinvention across sport, fashion, media, entrepreneurship, and creative careers. Her work with athletes includes career exploration, experiential development, and business creation.

13Founder Perspective

Built from experience on both sides of the game.

Cole Woods is a former professional basketball player, strategic advisor, founder, and media entrepreneur whose career has moved across professional sports, international fashion, technology, media, entrepreneurship, and advisory.

Cole Woods has spent years helping ambitious, multidimensional people navigate reinvention across sport, fashion, media, technology, entrepreneurship, and creative careers. Over time, a recurring pattern emerged: athletes often came to her when they were exploring who they might become beyond competition.

That experience now informs Beauty, Brain & Brawn’s Whole Athlete approach—supporting athletes not only as performers, but as people, brands, thinkers, founders, creators, and future leaders.

Cole's role is not to be every specialist around the athlete. Her role is to see the whole board.

"I know what it feels like to believe the game is the whole story. It isn't. The skills, relationships, visibility, discipline, identity, and experiences you are building now can become the foundation for everything that comes next."

14Who We Work With

Athletes and the people building around them.

Some of these relationships are advisory engagements. Others are collaborations, programming partnerships, and referrals. Together they form the ecosystem an athlete's career is actually built inside.

Individual Athletes

  • High school and emerging athletes, with parent or guardian involvement
  • College and NIL athletes
  • Professional athletes
  • Athletes preparing for transition
  • Former athletes building their next chapter

Athlete Ecosystem Partners

  • Parents and families
  • Coaches
  • Schools and academies
  • Athletic departments
  • Teams
  • Agents and managers
  • Attorneys
  • Financial advisors
  • AAU programs
  • Athlete-development organizations
  • Brands and strategic partners
15For Agents + Representatives

We work with representation, not around it.

Agents, managers, attorneys, teams, and marketing partners already carry significant responsibility for an athlete's career. Athlete Advisory is designed to complement that work rather than compete with it.

At earlier development stages, the same collaborative philosophy applies to parents, guardians, coaches, school resources, and other trusted professionals around the athlete.

Strategy in the center. Representation intact.

  • We do not replace representation

We do not negotiate playing contracts and we do not act as an athlete's agent. Agents, managers, attorneys, teams, and unions keep their roles. Athlete Advisory sits alongside them, focused on brand strategy, business building, and long-term career architecture.

  • We make the deal conversation easier

When an athlete has a clear position and a defined point of view, partnership strategy becomes simpler for everyone at the table. Agents often bring us in to help an athlete clarify what she stands for before commercial conversations begin.

  • We fill the gaps between specialists

Legal, financial, creative, media, styling, and beauty support rarely coordinate with one another. We serve as the strategic connective tissue so an athlete's decisions add up to something instead of running in parallel.

  • We think past the current contract

Athlete career transition and life after sport require planning years in advance. We help athletes and their representatives build entrepreneurship, ownership, education, and media pathways while she is still competing.

17Questions

What athletes, representatives, and organizations ask us first.

What is athlete advisory, and how is it different from an agent?

Athlete advisory is strategic guidance for an athlete's identity, brand, business, and career beyond competition. An agent secures and negotiates deals. Beauty, Brain & Brawn Athlete Advisory works upstream of that, defining what the athlete stands for, which opportunities fit, and what needs to be built around her so the work compounds over a career.

Do you negotiate playing contracts?

No. We are not a sports representation practice and we do not negotiate playing contracts or league agreements. We advise on athlete brand strategy, partnership strategy, business and entrepreneurship, media, image, and career transition, and we coordinate with the athlete's existing agent, attorney, and financial team.

Who is this for?

Athletes across the journey, from emerging and collegiate athletes to professionals and those preparing for life beyond sport, along with the schools, teams, and organizations developing them. The practice is built with women athletes in mind, including Black women athletes navigating beauty, hair, fashion, culture, and representation alongside their sport.

Do you work with high school athletes?

Yes, selectively. Beauty, Brain & Brawn can support emerging and high school athletes through educational programming, foundational identity and brand development, career exploration, and individual advisory where appropriate. Individual engagements involving minors require parent or guardian participation and consent. NIL rules and eligibility requirements vary, so legal, compliance, school, and governing-body questions should be handled by the appropriate qualified professionals.

Do you offer programming for schools, teams, and academies?

Yes. Beauty, Brain & Brawn develops workshops, intensives, multi-session programming, and custom athlete-development experiences for schools, athletic departments, teams, academies, AAU programs, parent organizations, and other sports organizations. Programming can address identity, personal brand literacy, strategic visibility, NIL readiness, career exploration, image and presence, entrepreneurship, and life beyond sport.

Can Beauty, Brain & Brawn provide NIL legal advice?

No. Beauty, Brain & Brawn provides strategic education and development around positioning, partnership readiness, reputation, opportunity evaluation, and career strategy. Legal, contractual, compliance, eligibility, and tax matters should be handled by appropriately qualified professionals.

Can the magazine be incorporated into programming?

Yes. Beauty, Brain & Brawn Magazine may be used as an educational and career-exposure resource alongside selected institutional programming, depending on the audience and engagement.

What does the advisory ecosystem include?

Strategy and partnerships sit at the center, surrounded by legal, fashion and styling, beauty and glam, PR and communications, creative and content, finance and wealth, business and entrepreneurship, and career and transition support. Athletes engage the specialists they actually need rather than a fixed package.

How does this work alongside an athlete's existing agent or agency?

It complements them. Agents, managers, and attorneys keep their roles, and we brief them on the strategy so commercial decisions stay aligned with the athlete's long-term positioning. Many engagements begin with a referral from a representative who wants dedicated brand and business strategy for a client.

How do athletes and representatives start a conversation?

Send an inquiry through the Beauty, Brain & Brawn contact form and select Athlete Advisory as the category. Athletes, agents, managers, family offices, schools, and teams are all welcome to reach out, and the first conversation is about fit and direction rather than a deal.

Build for the whole athlete.

Whether you are an athlete shaping what comes next, a representative looking for strategic support around a client, or an organization investing in long-term player development, Beauty, Brain & Brawn can help build the strategy around the person—not only the performance.
